Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Can teams attend any of the three camp sessions?
A: Yes. Teams that sign up for any of the three camp sessions will work with the same coach throughout the week.  **
Please be aware that teams signing up with less than twelve (12) players will have individual campers added to their group to make up the numbers for training purposes and the evening games.**  We recommend that the team COACH or TRAINER contact Rob Thompson on 706-425-3143 for more information regarding the team camp curriculum.

Q: What time shall I drop off and pick up my child for the 3/4 day, or full day camp?
A: Day campers can be dropped off at the UGA Soccer Complex at 9 am. All 3/4 day campers should be picked up at the UGA Soccer Complex at 4pm. All full day campers should be picked up at the UGA Soccer Complex at 8pm. A camp staff member will be on location to meet campers in the morning and to see them off at the end of their day. Please be aware that on the first day of camp ALL DAY CAMPERS MUST CHECK IN AT BRUMBY HALL BETWEEN 1:00-2:30pm.

Q: How many residential campers are there to a room?
A: In Brumby Hall, each room houses two people and has a bathroom connected to every other room.

Q: My team has an odd number of people signing up; can we put three people to a room?
A: Unfortunately the UGA FIRE CODE prevents Brumby Hall from having more than two beds in any room. An individual camper of the same age, or close in age will be assigned as a roommate. All campers signing up as a team will be housed in rooms next to each other, or across the hall.

If you have any other specific questions please contact Rob Thompson at (706) 425-3143, or rthompson@sports.uga.edu.
Q: What is the difference between sessions 1, 2 and the positional camp?
A: At session 1 and  2, campers follow a curriculum that involves all aspects of soccer, and caters to players from beginner to advanced level. The positional camp caters to players who want to be coached specifically in their chosen position. For example, a player who signs up as a defender will follow a curriculum that covers in-depth technical and tactical aspects of the position.
